Who's asking?

For your household

Tell the farm roughly how many potatoes you'd like and when you'd want them.

For a kitchen, shop or market

Give the quantity, how often you'd need it, and your target dates. Whether the farm can supply that is up to Judah's Potatoes.

With a question about the farm

How the crop is grown, or whether the farm takes visitors, isn't described on this site. See The farm, then ask.

Asking about larger quantities

This site doesn't say whether the farm supplies larger or regular amounts. If you're hoping to buy for a business, include these details so the farm can give you a straight answer.

  • Quantity. By weight, by box or bag, or a rough count.
  • Size or type. Any preference you have, or say you're open.
  • Timing. Your target date, or how often you'd need potatoes.
  • Getting them. How you'd hope to receive them, and where you are.

A request starts a conversation. It doesn't confirm price, availability or that the farm can supply you.

Keeping potatoes once you have them

General kitchen advice, not instructions from the farm.

Store potatoes somewhere cool, dark and dry, with some air around them. A paper bag or an open basket works better than sealed plastic.

Light can turn potato skins green. Cut away any green patches before cooking, or skip potatoes that are green all over.

Leave washing until you're ready to cook. Soil on the skin does no harm in storage, and damp potatoes spoil faster.
